JOVIALE ZEROCOOL

A couple of weeks back Joviale released their tremendous EP Hurricane Bell, including circus and clubby offerings on 'Blow!', and summer optimism on 'Glass Peach'. On the EP, Joviale weaves a multitude of styles, creating an unconventional sound for their gorgeous vocals to glide across. Lifted from the recent EP, they've just released a video for 'ZeroCool', produced, directed & edited by RedChartreuse. It's shot on a hand-held camcorder, with a texture that's grainy and dream-like. Joviale swims in the wide open sea, singing words that are equally as profound as the imagery, 'You're a type of dream, ruining my sleep', they continue, 'love me like the earth itself'. There's one shot that's particularly delightful, where Jovial dances on the cliff edge; the footage sped-up, mirroring the style of olden-day footage. Watch and listen to Joviale's ZeroCool here. -Ellie Rose-Davies
